Watch: Big lizard causes a stir at school administration building entrance
Nov. 17 (UPI) — A large goanna lizard caused a stir when it paid a visit to a school administration building in Queensland, Australia, just before rush hour.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 said on social media that reptile wrangler Stuart McKenzie responded to the school in Palmview on a report of “a big goanna on the wall” right next to the entrance to the administration building.
McKenzie said in a video of the capture that he had previously visited the same location to capture a red-bellied black snake.

McKenzie was able to wrangle the large lizard, dubbed Greg by the school, into a plastic tube for relocation.
The snake catcher said there was a slight hiccup at the end of the rescue when Greg didn’t want to leave his comfortable spot inside the tube.
Greg was eventually coaxed out and returned to the wild.
