How L'Officiel Lifestyle collects, uses and protects your personal information.
This site collects very little about you, and this page says exactly what.
What we collect
Only what you type into our contact form. If you write to us we keep your name, your email address, your message, an optional subject, and which page you wrote from, so that we can read and answer it.
That is the whole list. In particular, this site has:
- no accounts — there is nothing to register for and nowhere to sign in;
- no cookies and no analytics — we set no cookies, run no tracking scripts, and build no profile of you;
- no advertising technology and no data enrichment from outside sources;
- no mailing list — we send no marketing email, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs, as every web server does: the address you came from, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. They are used to keep the site running and secure.
Images from other publishers
Many articles here are syndicated, and their photographs are usually served by the original publisher rather than by us. Your browser fetches those images directly, which means the publisher hosting them can see your IP address and browser as it would for any visit to their own site. We do not control what those publishers log. Images we host ourselves are served from our content delivery network.
Where your message is stored
Contact-form messages are stored in our content management system, Sanity, which processes them on our behalf under its own terms, and are readable only by our editors. To stop abuse, the form counts recent submissions per IP address in memory for a few minutes; that address is never written down.
How we use it
We use your message to answer you and, if it reports an error in an article, to correct the piece. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except where the law requires it or where it is necessary to run the site.
How long we keep it
Messages stay until an editor archives and deletes them. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.

Write to us through our Contact page to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Say enough for us to find the message you mean.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page.
