Accor’s Emblems Collection brand launches first property in UK

French hospitality group Accor’s luxury hotel brand Emblems Collection has launched in the UK with the opening of Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in Wiltshire.

Situated in the Cotswolds near Bath, Lucknam Park becomes the flagship location for the brand. The estate spans 500 acres and comprises 42 rooms and suites alongside nine cottages.

The hotel offers two restaurants, including one with a Michelin star overseen by chef Hywel Jones, as well as the Walled Garden Restaurant.

Facilities at the hotel include an equestrian centre, a wellness spa, and extensive gardens.

The hotel’s addition into the Emblems Collection portfolio involved a series of enhancements designed to maintain its historic qualities while introducing the standards of hospitality found across Accor’s luxury brands.

The site itself has more than 900 years of history, evolving from a farmstead to an estate.

Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems Collection CEO Maud Bailly said: “Emblems Collection is built around the essence of understated, quiet luxury – where true elegance lies in a timeless sense of exclusivity and intimacy. We carefully select iconic properties and destinations that allow our guests to reconnect with themselves, far from the noise of everyday life.

“Each Emblems Collection hotel embodies authenticity, grace, and soul – because it’s not just beauty that defines a place; it’s the soul that makes it unforgettable. It’s the soul that makes Emblems.”

Accor has announced that six additional properties will join the Emblems Collection over the next two years.

In 2026, four Emblems Collection openings are planned that include the relaunch of Rimrock Banff in Canada after renovations; and Masseria Furnirussi will join in Puglia amid Europe’s largest fig orchard.

Additionally, Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti will be introduced in Siena near Piazza del Campo, and Relais San Clemente, a former Benedictine convent near Perugia built in the 11th century, will be relaunched as a 51-room estate.

These developments form part of Accor’s strategy to expand its global presence in the luxury hotel market.

Recently, Accor entered a master development agreement with Mayan Properties to develop five hotels in the Sub-Saharan Africa region to expand its portfolio.

“Accor’s Emblems Collection brand launches first property in UK” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
