IDF announces death of Hamas Nukhba commander who infiltrated Israel on Oct. 7
He was responsible for conducting numerous terror attacks against IDF troops and Israel, according to the military.
The IDF on Wednesday announced the death of Hamas Nukhba commander Muhammad Naif Abu Shamala, who was killed in Khan Yunis on August 13.
Shamala infiltrated the military’s Ma’aras post on October 7, 2023.
He was responsible for conducting numerous terror attacks against IDF troops and Israel, according to the military.
The IDF and the Shin Bet on Tuesday announced the death of a Hamas terrorist who participated in the abduction of Yarden Bibas on October 7 from Kibbutz Nir Oz.
The terrorist, Jihad Kamal Salem Najjar, was killed on August 10, also in southern Gaza.

Bibas thanked the IDF and the Shin Bet for killing Najjar.
Last week, the military announced the death of a Nukhba deputy commander, Abdullah Saeed Abd al-Baqin, who was killed on August 7. He served in the Central Jabalya Battalion and had also infiltrated Israel on October 7.
He took part in the raid on the Erez IDF base and partook in the kidnapping of soldiers Ron Sherman, the late Nick Beiser, and Tamir Nimrodi.
