While Jennifer Lopez usually keeps kids Max and Emme out of the spotlight, she made an exception for a very special reason — their 17th birthday.
On Saturday, February 22, the 55-year-old “Jenny From the Block” singer celebrated her twins’ milestone with a sweet Instagram tribute.

Set to Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Midnight (Midnight Sky Remix),” the post included a snapshot of Emme twirling in a tulle skirt, Max throwing up peace signs, and several clips of the trio posing together. “Seventeen. I love you beyond forever 🥥🥥,” Lopez captioned the montage.
Shortly after posting, it didn’t take long for fans to react in the comments section.
“Geez!!! 17!!! They grew up sooooo fast!!! Momma bear did an amazing job protecting them!!! Happy Birthday to you both!!!🎉🎂🎉🎂🎉🎂” one person wrote.
“I remember when you were pregnant with the coconuts. OMG! 😮😍” another reminisced.
“17 is crazyy, they were just 13 yesterday. Happy birthday to our favorite twins!!🤍🥥🤍🥥” chimed in a third.
“Happy birthday sweet hearts🥳🫶🏻✨❤️❤️❤️best wishes to youu💚,” someone else said.
Even Kate Hudson joined in on the love, writing, “Awe babies getting so big ❤️.”
The proud mom shares Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2014. From the moment the twins arrived in 2008, the Maid in Manhattan actress knew her life had changed forever. “It’s unconditional love,” she told People in 2020. “I know everybody feels this way about their kids, but I just feel like they’re super special. I can’t wait to see what they do.”
But while Lopez is incredibly proud of her kids, she’s also the first to admit that parenting teenagers is no joke. “The teenage years are tough,” she said during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark in 2023. “You have this baby for a while and then it’s like, your best little friend who loves being with you all the time, and then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Get out of my room.'” Still, she’s navigating it all with love, adding, “You have to kind of just ride the waves.”
