Defense Minister Israel Katz called on the ministry's comptroller to conduct an in-depth review of the Turgeman committee report on the October 7 failures on Monday, following IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir's decision to punish commanders and generals.
Katz said Brig.-Gen. (res.) Yair Wolanski would evaluate the committee’s handling of materials and omissions, including the “Jericho Wall” document. The comptroller will also revisit any inquiries the committee marked as incomplete or insufficient and advise on whether further fact-finding is required.
