One killed as Russia targets Ukrainian infrastructure

A 65-year-old man died in a drone attack on a bus stop in Kherson in southern Ukraine and a 70-year-old man was injured, authorities reported on Tuesday.

There were power cuts in the Sumy region close to the Russian border in the north-east of the country, Sumy Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported. Residential accommodation and a bus had been hit, he said, with the female bus driver and a passenger receiving medical attention, he said.

Volodymyr Kohut, governor of the central Poltava region, reported problems with electricity and water supply. Administrative buildings, warehouses and railway infrastructure were damaged.

Ukraine is warding of a full-scale Russian invasion that began in February 2022.
