For the month of October, Bazaar will be celebrating our obsessions—how they delight us, connect us, and keep us going. Tune in each day for a new story, or go here to read them all.

This fall, we’re updating our wardrobes with the most fun heel we’ve seen in quite some time: the corsage shoe. Designers leaned into seasonal irony on the fall/winter 2026 runways, decorating pumps, sandals, and mules with big, cheerful blooms. Unlike the more expected spring florals, these feel decadent and celebratory—the perfect way to finish off an outfit with an element of joy.

At Chanel, Matthieu Blazy amped up the maximalism of textured dresses and skirts by pairing them with heeled sandals with abstract florals on the toe. Jonathan Anderson’s sleek rosette sandal heels at Dior balanced out soft, petaled hemlines and sculptural dresses, while Sarah Burton’s wildflower statement mules at Givenchy gave an unexpected pop of playfulness to structured daywear separates.

If you’re looking to elevate an otherwise minimal evening look this fall, a sophisticated floral sandal is the way to go. Corsage pumps are an easy win for any upcoming parties and will feel fresh long into the holiday season. You could even tap into the current evening-for-day trend and try a rosette slingback with a kitten heel to spruce up your girl-about-town uniform. Read on for a roundup of our favorites.

Floral Sandals

Whether you’re getting a head start on shopping for upcoming holiday parties or you want to give your fall evening wardrobe an extra zhuzh, sandals with feathered flowers or satin floral appliqués are the only conversation piece your outfit needs. They can make your favorite tuxedo suit or black cocktail dress feel new and fresh, whether you prefer minimal fall neutrals or bold color play.

Budding Pumps

Pumps are so back! But as my colleague Camille Freestone put it in a recent essay, the difference is that now they feel optional—something you wear to make your outfit more interesting, rather than to fulfill stuffy workwear requirements. I love the idea of wearing a pair of these extravagant shoes with a tailored trouser and button-down with the sleeves rolled up. It’s business on the top, party on the bottom—a classic example of “so right it’s wrong” styling.

Wildflower Mules

Mules usually skew either subdued or sexy; these, however, fall right in the middle, with the bareness of the shoe’s structure balancing out the bloom on top. Brighten up a jeans-and-a-t-shirt look with a pair of over-the-top personality mules when you’re out and about over the weekend, or even to the office to get your creative juices flowing. (The floppier the flower, the better!) Or lean all the way into the demure aesthetic of a pointed pair by wearing them with a midi pencil skirt and three-quarter t-shirt for a ’90s silhouette with a funky twist.
