Tiger Woods Bears Witness to an Ace Alongside Son Charlie
Tiger Woods has been battling his own setbacks since February, when he announced a left Achilles injury that forced him to step away from competition.
But when it comes to standing by his family, he’s always right there, no matter the circumstance. Back in 2022, when Charlie Woods posted a career-low round of 68 in a qualifier for the Notah Begay III Junior National Golf Championship, Tiger was beside him, serving as his caddie.

Earlier this March, when Sam Woods broke her own curse by securing her first-ever state soccer championship, Tiger was there again, cheering her on.
And on Saturday, he was back on the golf course, watching Charlie compete in the Florida State Amateur Championship. But this time, the moment belonged to someone else.
Tiger Woods & Charlie witnessed spectacular hole-in-one
While Charlie focused on navigating his tournament rounds, Jake Sherwin, a Notre Dame golf signee, etched his name into history with a hole-in-one, right in front of Tiger Woods, a man who has 20 aces to his name.
The Florida State Golf Association posted the moment, captioning it: “A hole-in-one in front of one of the greatest to ever do it.”
Later, @TWlegion also ended up reposting it.

Sherwin wasn’t the only one making precision shots. The pace was actually set by Pavel Tsar, who hit his shot to two feet, while Charlie Woods followed up with a four-foot dart.
That set the stage for Sherwin, who, realizing space was limited, joked: “There’s no more room for me.”
Seconds later, his shot took a hop and vanished away – straight into the cup!
As posted by the Florida State Amateur Championship on Instagram. It was indeed “the best day of Jake Sherwin’s life!”
But what about the center of attraction, Jr. Woods?
Charlie Woods’ Performance
While Sherwin stole the spotlight with his hole-in-one, Charlie Woods had his own battle to fight on the course.
Charlie fell off the pace of the leaders in the third round at Florida’s 108th Amateur Championship, struggling to find his rhythm.

A third-round 5-over 77 on the BallenIsles Country Club East Course in Palm Beach Gardens left him 7-over for the tournament. Things did not get any better during the final round. In fact, they got much worse as the young Woods ultimately finished second to last.
It was an unfortunate performance considering Charlie was coming off of his first AJGA win of his career.
