Chiefs Star Chris Jones Doesn't Hold Back on Lamar Jackson
The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens have a long-standing rivalry in the AFC, as both teams have been near the top of the AFC race for multiple seasons. The Chiefs have been at the top of that race, but things could change in 2025.

Both teams have been struggling in 2025, as the Chiefs and Ravens sit at a 1-2 record ahead of their big showdown on Sunday. It is a bit odd to see both teams start off slow, but it would be a safe bet that both will be in the playoffs come January.
That said, their potential playoff preview is days away, and Chiefs players have already begun to discuss their AFC rival. One such player is Kansas City star defender Chris Jones. Jones spoke to reporters about facing the Ravens and, more specifically, taking on the dual threat that is Lamar Jackson.
When speaking about Jackson, Jones did not hold back about the Ravens star.

"Any play in the game, he can change the dynamic of it. It's always tough playing the Baltimore Ravens. Trying to stop Lamar is one thing. Trying to contain him is another... I think he should've won MVP last year. I've got so much respect for him," Jones stated.

Jones knows what the rest of the NFL world knows, which is that Jackson is one of the biggest threats in the league. He can gun the ball downfield, while also rifling off chunk yardage with his legs. Despite missing out on his third MVP, Jones also feels that the Ravens' superstar was deserving of that honor.
Despite the Ravens' slow start, Jackson is still putting up incredible numbers. Jackson's nine touchdown passes lead the league, while his 722 passing yards are good for 10th among starting quarterbacks.
Jackson can also run the ball, and he has 118 yards and one touchdown on the ground thus far.
The Chiefs have had trouble through three weeks of action, excluding their game with the New York Giants. While Kansas City has done enough to stop Jackson in the past, the 2025 season could tell a different story.
One team will walk away with a .500 record, and Jones and company will have to be on their A-game to ensure they can "contain" Jackson.
