Snoop Dogg fans double down after he hits back at inauguration set 'hate'

Snoop Dogg is acknowledging the "hate" he's received from fans after his inauguration performance — but his followers are only doubling down on their initial reaction.
"For all the hate, I'm going to answer with love," the "Gin and Juice" rapper — who performed at the Crypto Ball in honor of President Donald Trump's 2025 inauguration — told his 88.1 million Instagram followers on Sunday, January 26.
While smoking a blunt in his car, the 16-time Grammy nominee said, "Y'all can't hate enough I love too much. Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I'm cool. I'm together — still a Black man, still 100 percent Black. All out 'til you ball out or 'til you fall out."
"I ain't going nowhere. I'm right here," he added.
Snoop's followers immediately voiced their bold opinions on his reaction video, the majority of whom felt deeply upset by his actions — and his lack of apology.
"We've heard every lyric you rapped. We believed you were with US. ... Not once have we ever turned our backs on you. We've supported every venture you've had. So your performance feels like a slap in our faces," one fan wrote.
"How did your presence further our plight?? What did it do for the communities that have always supported and looked up to you??" the user added. "I hoped you'd use the opportunity (since you were there) to speak truth to power. But nope! You tucked your tail and played nice with those who seek to harm your sons and daughters. ... You can't even acknowledge you made a wrong move? Sir please 🙄."
"Everything but explain or apologize," another follower commented. "Your private life is one thing but this was public entertainment for something dangerous to the community."
"You can post these deflections but you can't hidefrom the face in the mirror," a third person shared. "You know what you did to your people. Shame. 👎🏾."
"Snoop you disappointed us. We been riding with you since we were kids," another fan wrote, echoing many's reactions. "This one hurts for real."
Other fans, however, stood by the "Drop It Like It's Hot" artist.
"We got you Snoop, you are not defined by a single party. We are the United States of America✊🏾❤️🇺🇸🐾," another user wrote.
"Your real fans are still here Snoop! ❤️," shared another.
A third person responded directly to the upset followers. "Y'all don't respect this man enough to allow him to make his own decisions," they claimed. "Y'all were never really fans. Admit it."
Snoop's opinion on Trump has changed dramatically throughout the years.
In 2016, during Trump's first administration, the rapper told Rolling Stone, he had "never seen a motherf****er" like the former real estate magnate. "How could we have someone as reckless as him running our country?"
Last year, however, Snoop told the Sunday Times, "I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump."
